Missouri Governor Parson Proclaims Drinking Water Week 2019

On Wednesday, May 1, 2019, State of Missouri Governor Mike Parson hosted delegates from several organizations to make his proclamation for Drinking Water Week 2019. Public Information Committee Chair Melissa Carver of Jacobs attended to represent the Section.

The Governor also recognized the Missouri Department of Natural Resource’s winner of their annual Fifth-grade student poster contest. Once again this year this contest was sponsored by the Section’s Drinking Water Week Committee led by Karen Marie Diezte of Black & Veatch. The Public Drinking Water Branch of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources facilitates this contest, but utilizes the Missouri Section Leadership to help choose a winner.
