March 23 - April 10, 2020
Gain a comprehensive understanding of SCADA systems, including terms, drawing symbols, naming standards, sample diagrams, descriptions of components, and features.
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) has forever altered the way utilities conduct business. A single operator can control treatment, storage, system pressure, and other vital functions through a single-linked computer network. The course begins with an overview of device symbols, including how they are used to represent systems and how those symbols relate to real-world devices. Discover how a SCADA system connects to sensors, analyzers, and control devices. Learn the features and components of a SCADA system, the facilities/environment the system requires, and the benefits the system provides.
This course takes into consideration the Association Board of Certification Need-to-Know Criteria for water treatment operators.
